GW最終日に初訪問！釣場近くのBBQスペースを予約。BBQスペースに車を横付けできて便利でした。
釣りは、人数×5匹放流になりますが、合計匹数の中であれば種類は自由に選べるみたい（5の倍数出なくてもよい）。放流は8〜12時とのことなので、8時前に入った人は、受付時に匹数の書いたメモを渡されるので、放流をお願いしたい時間になったらそれを受付に持って行くと放流してもらえるシステムでした。
普段管理釣り場で使っているスプーンやミノー、フライを持っていったところ、餌より先に釣れました。上手くなったと錯覚しちゃうかも(笑)渓流釣りの練習になりそう。
餌釣り2人、ルアー1人が半日で20匹くらい。半分以上は疑似餌での釣果。朝マヅメを過ぎると餌でも渋い時間になりますが、イワナとヤマメはスプーンやミノーへ結構アタックしてきて面白かった！
放流は自分たちのエリアにしてくれますが、エリアの区切りが自然の岩を使っているため隣のエリアに魚が泳いで行ってしまう可能性はあります。但し、人が居ない他のエリアでも自由に釣りしてよいとのことなので、放流数以上の釣果にすることができます。魚影が見えなくてもミノーを投げるとどこからか魚が出てきました🎣

My first visit was on the last day of Golden Week! We reserved a BBQ space near the fishing area. It was convenient to be able to park our car right next to the BBQ area.

For fishing, they release 5 fish per person, but you can freely choose the species within the total number (it doesn't have to be a multiple of 5). The fish release is between 8 AM and 12 PM, so those who arrive before 8 AM are given a memo with the number of fish at check-in. You take this memo to the reception when you want the fish released, and they'll release them for you.

I brought the spoons, minnows, and flies I usually use at managed fishing areas, and I caught fish with them before the bait fish! It almost made me feel like I'd gotten better (lol). It seems like good practice for stream fishing.

Two of us used bait fishing, and one used lures, catching about 20 fish in half a day. More than half were caught with artificial lures. After the morning twilight, even bait fishing becomes slow, but the char and trout were quite aggressive with the spoons and minnows, which was fun!

They release the fish into your area, but since the area is demarcated using natural rocks, there's a chance the fish might swim into the neighboring area. However, you're free to fish in other areas where there are no people, so you can catch more fish than the number released. Even if you don't see any fish, if you cast a minnow, they'll appear from somewhere! 🎣

Highly recommended for trout fishing experience. The trout sashimi was fresh, crunchy and delicious with grated fresh wasabi. The fried trout that we caught was nicely done perfectly crispy. This was the 2nd. time that I visited this place. My rating 10/10 for trout fishing experience & great food. Will visit this place again if coming to Nikko area again . 😂😂😂

Not only was the trout sashimi incredibly fresh (grating your own wasabi was a highlight!), but the fried trout (Karaage) and salt-grilled trout were equally outstanding. The fried fish was perfectly crispy, and the grilled one was juicy and flavorful. It’s rare to find a place where every cooking style is a 10/10. Great food, great view, and a great time!

そしてここ、釣った後が本番。
1匹300円で塩焼きや唐揚げに調理してもらえるのですが…これが本当に美味しい。炭火でじっくり焼かれた魚は皮パリパリ、中ふっくら。唐揚げは骨まで食べられるサクサク食感で、正直びっくりしました。

これにしなかった事を後悔、周り見渡すと刺身にしていたから……

自然に癒されながら、釣って楽しい・食べて美味しいが両方叶う贅沢スポット。
ただ山奥で少し冷えるので、防寒対策はしっかりがおすすめ。
